DESCRIPTION
The Hungarian Cleaner Production Centre (HCPC) is a member of the international network, established by UNIDO after the Rio-convention. Operating at the Corvinus University of Budapest, the leading university in Hungary in the field of economics and management, the HCPC is a national focal point for the promotion of Cleaner Production (CP) activities in Hungary.
CORVINUS AND RESOURCE EFFCIENCY
The HCPC is engaged in activities promoting the preventive approach to environmental protection, including technologies, production processes, as well as new management methods and methodologies. These measures achieve the reduction of the environmental load by increasing resource efficiency, resulting in economic benefits for the companies (through reducing the amount of raw material usage, energy usage, and waste disposal cost). Recently, the HCPC was involved in the ACT CLEAN project under the EU’s Central Europe Programme, aimed at fostering cleaner production in the SME sector.
